Migrant Crisis Emergency Declaration
The “surge” in migrants prompted Mayor Lori Lightfoot to issue an emergency declaration Tuesday. Since August, more than 8,000 migrants, many from Central and South America, have been bused from Texas. The city has been in need of a plan. [NBC Chicago; City Cast Chicago]
