I’ve been thinking about my former University of Illinois professor Eric Meyer, whose Kansas newspaper was wrongfully raided by police this week. He said his 98-year-old mother, who co-owned the newspaper, died a day after the raid. My heart goes out to Professor Meyer, who believes the stress contributed to her mother’s death.
