State Will Not Proceed with Brighton Park Camp
Citing environmental concerns, Gov. JB Pritzker announced Tuesday that Illinois would not proceed with the planned camp for migrants at 38th Street and California Avenue. The announcement comes days after the city said the site was safe. [Block Club]

Candidates Join the 2024 Primaries
In the race for Cook County state’s attorney, former appellate court judge Eileen O’Neill Burke filed Monday night as a Democrat, joining Clayton Harris III, a former prosecutor and political aide who received the support of the Cook County Democratic Party. Former Ald. Bob Fioretti filed as a Republican candidate. And U.S. Rep. Danny Davis could be facing up to five Democratic challengers in the March primary. [Sun-Times]

2024 NASCAR Tickets Go on Sale Today
