Alders Demand Johnson Scrap Migrant Shelter Limit
Seventeen Chicago alders joined migrant response mutual aid groups in signing a letter calling on Mayor Brandon Johnson to rescind his policy limiting shelter stays to 60 days. The first deadline is Thursday. [Chicago Tribune]

Chicagoan Behind ‘Soul Train’ Opener Files Lawsuit
Joe Cobb, whose “the souuuuullll train!” shout opened the popular music show, is suing for at least $75,000 in back royalties. He filed a federal lawsuit against the current owners of the show, Paramount Global, CBS Entertainment, and Black Entertainment Television. [WBEZ Chicago]
