Chicago Chatter: Spots for Crying and Romance

I noticed there was a lot of overlap in our lists of most romantic spots and best places to cry. (Simone Alicea / City Cast Chicago)

Reader H Kapp-Klote really dug our venn diagram comparing our lists of best places to cry and most romantic spots. And you all continued weighing in on X/Twitter.

The Places We Missed

The Places We Nailed

  • The CTA remains a favorite place to cry: “Absolutely no one has seen tears of mine more than the way CTA stops have seen my tears,” @madmusings_ says.
  • I’ve never been to Little Clown Pizza in Avondale…but do I need to be crying there? Only @CarlSwoveland says the spot should also be counted as romantic 🤷‍♀️

But I did notice: I’m seeing a lot of crying happening in the mentions…but not a lot of romance. We good, Chicago?
