As President Donald Trump’s administration pressures colleges to end DEI practices, Illinois colleges are pulling back from the Diversifying Higher Education Faculty in Illinois fellowship. Created in 2021, it aids over 100 students per year. University of Illinois Chicago has cut the program entirely, while Northeastern Illinois University removed the fellowship page from its website. Where are Chicago’s Oldest-Known Urinals?

Skylark, a beloved Bridgeport watering hole, was packed Thursday night as locals turned out to honor its old urinals. According to historians, Skylark’s notably large urinals remain from the building’s original 1910 construction as a tied house.
