Community Law Office Opens in Roseland
The Freedom Defense center will offer legal representation, mental health support, and other services in the Far South Side neighborhood. Cook County officials hope the first-of-its-kind law office will bring traditional legal services out of the courtroom and into neighborhoods. [WBEZ]
CPS Students Win Debate Championship After Donors Save Program
The district slashed funding this fall for the Chicago Debates program. But after individuals and organizations stepped in to support, two sets of CPS students are now national debate champions. Aurelio’s to Close in Chicago
We just learned it’s a favorite of Pope Leo’s, but the pizzeria announced it’s closing its only Chicago location this week. At least you can still find “Pope-a-Roni” at the original Homewood location and dozens of others around the suburbs. [Sun-Times]
