Snap Curfew Vote Stalled at City Council

Seventeen alders signed a letter to delay City Council's vote on snap curfews on Wednesday. It was a major show of force, considering it takes just two to block a vote. On Tuesday, the measure was tweaked to allow Chicago Police Supt. Larry Snelling to declare sudden curfews without official sign-off from the deputy mayor for community safety. [WTTW]

Allegations of grooming and other misconduct date back a decade at Little Village Lawndale High School. Twelve former students have shared their experiences, which included sexual encounters with school staff shortly after they turned 18 or graduated.
