Chicagoans Show Out to Protest Trump

Thousands gathered in Daley Plaza Saturday to protest President Donald Trump and his military parade. Similar "No Kings" protests occurred in nearby suburbs and across the country. Chicago's demonstration was peaceful with police reporting one arrest. [Sun-Times]

Michael Madigan Sentenced to 7.5 Years
Michael Madigan was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison Friday and ordered to pay a $2.5 million fine. In February, Madigan was convicted on 10 counts of bribery, conspiracy, and wire fraud. The former Illinois House speaker is the longest-serving legislative leader in modern U.S. history. [AP]
