Violet Hour Closes Permanently

Violet Hour, tucked away in an unmarked Wicker Park storefront, was once one of the nation’s buzziest cocktail bars. But the bar announced Friday it would close after 18 years. The spot had been closed the past few weeks over plumbing problems and issues with the landlord. [Eater]
