💵 Chicago Owes Millions in Police Overtime Lawsuit
Nearly 10 years ago, Chicago Police employees claimed the city owed them $14 million for unpaid overtime. Five years ago, a federal judge ruled in their favor, but the two sides are still fighting over how much the city will ultimately pay as interest balloons. Experts hired by each side say the final total is between $195 million and $450 million. [WBEZ]
🎰 City Council Bets on Gambling Machines
Alders introduced two proposals to help boost revenue, one that would allow video gambling machines at airports and one that would reverse a citywide ban.
