What Did Clinton Say About Pritzker and Epstein?

During a sworn testimony, former President Bill Clinton said he never traveled alone on sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s plane then mentioned that Gov. JB Pritzker and his wife once traveled with him. Later, Clinton’s deputy chief of staff clarified that Pritzker did join a Clinton Foundation trip, but not on Epstein’s plane. Pritzker, too, denied any association with Epstein. [Tribune 🔒]

Cop Who Shot and Paralyzed Boy Will Lose Job

Following an investigation, Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling agreed to fire officer Noah Ball who shot a 13-year-old boy in May 2022, permanently paralyzing him. Previously, Snelling blocked firing Ball after his connection to a shooting in June 2021. Ball is not currently listed as an active city employee. [WTTW]

The Chicago Fire broke ground on the city's first new stadium since 1994, and it’s set to open before the 2028 soccer season. Owner Joe Mansueto is footing the bill, and the city promised an additional $700 million in TIF funds for infrastructure. Your Annual Gas Bill Could Spike by $130

Peoples Gas is proposing a $202 million rate hike to replace aging pipes — just two years after enacting a record $306 million rate hike. This would add about $11 per month per bill. Approval is up to the Illinois Commerce Commission. [Sun-Times]
