Mexico Takes Legal Action for Nationals Killed by ICE

Mexico filed criminal complaints with prosecutors here over the deaths of 17 Mexican nationals, including Silverio Villegas González. Immigration officers shot and killed Villegas González in Franklin Park during Operation Midway Blitz. “What we cannot do is stand by as Mexicans die in ICE operations or detention,” said Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum.
